Day #9: Beautiful Boards

Today’s post is actually something I have on my Santa list this year…  As you may have guessed, I spend lots of time in my kitchen and I love finding items that are both useful and beautiful (much like myself…hehehe!)  While there is much to be said about a synthetic-throw-it-in-the-dishwasher cutting board, I LOVE the look of a big, beautiful, handmade wooden chopping block on the counter.  Something so decorative that it adds to the kitchen while it lives on your counter.  (I happen to have rather ugly countertops myself so a gorgeous piece like the ones below is just what the Dr. ordered!)

I already decided to treat myself to a wooden chopping block this Holiday season so I have been searching around for just the right one and I actually found what I was looking for on Etsy of all places.  I am addicted to Etsy, I love that you can actually communicate with the people that are handcrafting your purchase and in many cases actually get something custom made for your needs, often at very reasonable prices!  How stunning are these pieces???
